Caricature as Parting Gift for a Caring Boss

We would like to make an order for a colored (with body situation) A3 Caricature Drawing. In addition to that we would also like to frame the drawing up. This will be a gift and we are thinking of writing messages around the drawing. Therefore, we hope that there will be space for approximately 20 short-messages to be written around the drawing. A little background so as to incorporate appropriate characteristics into your drawing: she is our boss and works in the Early Childhood industry. Since our Division oversees all child care centers in Singapore, I have mentioned typical phrases that may be helpful in your artistic expression:

–          Licensing visit report

–          Assessment standards.

–          Legislation

–          Child Care Centers Act

–          Improving standards

–          Empowerment

–          Public Feedback

–          Empathy

Please mention her name and to mention “Child Care Division” (in small print) at the edge. This is for her to remember by in years to come. Please have the month and year (March 2013) mentioned too  (in small print)- similar to that of “Child Care Division”. Our lady boss advocates use of IT in our work, is gentle and firm. She is on the plump side. To add, of course no need to use all the phrases… just select whichever are suitable

Our caricature can be customized to your very request:

Caricature Details
I would like to place an A3 caricature with body situation. Photo of the individual featured in the caricature is attached.

Background & Additional Requests

  1. Background to feature landmarks in Singapore: Marina Bay Sands, the Merlion, Changi Control Tower, Orchids, Hawker Stalls, featuring Satay/Fried Rice/Roast Meat etc. I really love the caricature done for a couple in front of the Taj Mahal the detail is really beautiful. Can I request to have something similar done with as little white background as possible. The background can also have an overarching garden theme as long as it features some of the Singapore landmarks mentioned.
  2. Request to have a full bodied caricature in a standing position donning a black/grey suit with red tie holding on to a cabin trolley bag. With a speech bubble containing the words “HR is in a sweet spot“, “Talent, Talent, Talent“, “… approved, reluctantly!” and “HR Transformation – we are ahead of the game!” (“” are not required and for clarity purposes only)
  3. Company Logo to be featured in drawing, please see my company logo at the foot of this email, understand that requests for specific logos cost an additional $50.
  4. Text: please have the text Thank you Conrad, we’ll miss you dearly from the Singapore Team. It can be framed in the drawing up to your creativity
  5. Framing: We would like to have the caricature framed

” Do let your creativity take over where possible this is just an outline and I’m sure that the experts would be in the best position on creating a memorable and good caricature.”

Marathon Themed Couple Caricature

She dropped us an email informing us that she would like to do a couple, wedding caricature of themselves. In her email, she furnish us with the details of how she would like us to draw them in. Below are the  brief descriptive details which was provided:

…Both of us love running and so I thought you could have us in a marathon theme, holding hands, in my wedding dress and his tuxedo (including the race bib). And with this few places in the background: 1. The building of our secondary school (I will send the photo once I got it), 2. Merlion, 3. The Changi Airport Control tower with airplane flying over it…

Birthday Guy in Black Nissan Latio Car with A Cheetah Holding Starbucks Coffee

As you can see, this is not our typical caricature order as there a lot of special requirements which our lady client has requested. The list of details are as follows:

1. Background is the Alexandra Arch near Hort Park (photo attached for your ref) 2. Lead character is a 27 year old young man, who is often in corporate attire – shirt (without tie), black pants and black leather shoes. He is often in white shirt, or red/white stripe shirt with white collars, or navy blue/white stripe shirt with navy blue collars. 3. He should be in the driver seat of a small black car (Nissan Latio), with iPhone in one hand. 4. A cheetah sits obediently in his car, holding up a Starbucks coffee cup (somehow) for him. Or the Starbucks coffee cup can appear somewhere within the car or in the driver’s hands. Or the car can be driving thru a Starbucks outlet. Point is, he is a Starbucks fan. 5. Cheetah has a choker around her neck with a tag that reads the letter ‘V’. 6. The young man is being chased by a Japanese woman (perhaps in kimono?) and a Dutch lady (in milk maid attire). One of the women holds an employment contract in her hands, chasing him to sign it. 7. This is for his birthday, so will be good if there can be a small birthday cake with candles for 27 drawn somewhere. Not sure where to place it or someone to hold it. Shall leave it to your creativity. 8. Would like to fit in a terracotta warrior somewhere. Again, not sure where and how. The reason for terracotta warrior to be included is that we enjoyed a terracotta exhibition very much. Perhaps the terracotta warrior chases him together with the women?

Triathlon Biker Holding a Pint of Guinness for 40th Birthday Gift

Crossing the 40 year old mile stone with a Guinness.
The caricature above is drawn base on our client’s descriptive details:

He loves his pints of Guinness and is obsessed with good men watches like Rolex for example and i was thinking of something to depict the triathlon training ( cycling ), with a pint of Guinness in his hand (checkout and a big Rolex watch in the other…”

Old School Army Uniform for GPMG Instructor Gift Caricature

This is a caricature gift for a platoon reunion of sort. I belief the person getting it is no longer in the service. Client requested that we drew the subject in old SAF No.4 camouflage, not the current pixelated design. The weapon is a special request too and we had fun researching and drawing the General Purpose Machine Gun (GPMG). One have to be extremely strong or crazy like Rambo to be able to handle the GPMG with one arm and manage ammo with the other, but this is a cartoon drawing so anything is possible. To suggest the School of Provost we added the white boot laces – small details but it mattered to those who know that Provost/Military Police wore white laces.
